How to Change Downloading Location in Google chrome

To manage your download settings in Google Chrome, follow these steps:

1. Open Chrome Settings:

Click the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner of the browser toolbar.

Select Settings from the dropdown menu.



2. Access Advanced Settings:

Scroll down and click on Advanced to reveal more options.



3. Adjust Download Settings:

In the Downloads section, you can:

Change Default Download Location: Click Change and select your preferred folder.

Prompt Before Downloading: Toggle on "Ask where to save each file before downloading" to choose a location for each download.





Default Download Locations:

If you haven't customized your download settings, Chrome saves files to the following default locations:

Windows:

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\Downloads

Windows Vista/7/8/10/11: C:\Users\<username>\Downloads


macOS: /Users/<username>/Downloads

Linux: /home/<username>/Downloads


Note: Replace <username> with your actual user account name.
